"About 2 million skateboard decks end up in a landfill each year; I’m here to change that.”

Ben Paik loves to create things that are useful yet unique out of busted skateboards that no longer serve their original purpose. He is testing the limits of what can be fabricated out of this broken, discarded material. Ben incorporates the bright colors from these skateboards across his work and frequently documents his creative process on YouTube. He strives to continuously learn and experiment through different projects.

Woby Design is located in Los Angeles, California (USA).

"MY GOAL IS TO INSPIRE THE SKATEBOARD COMMUNITY TO RECYCLE… BRINGING RIDICULOUS AND UNREALISTIC IDEAS TO LIFE.”

Ben experiments with broken skateboards to create various pieces of furniture, art, and accessories. He first came to this material because it was free, only later realizing the potential of its bold colors. His ultimate goal is to build a house made out of recycled skateboards.
